Nhật báo IBD ngày 15/12/2022
Chứng khoán rơi mạnh, Nasdaq mất ngưỡng hỗ trợ quan trọng; 3 cổ phiếu mới breakout cần quan sát
Thị trường chứng khoán rơi trong phiên thứ Năm khi Nasdaq thủng ngưỡng MA50 ngày. Các cổ phiếu mới breakout gần đây như Array Technologies (ARRY), Celsius (CELH) và Lattice Semiconductor (LSCC) chững lại. Đây được xem là dấu hiệu của bối cảnh thị trường đi xuống.
Hồ sơ thất nghiệp, doanh thu bán lẻ giảm
Bộ lao động cho biết, số hồ sơ thất nghiệp giảm xuống mức 211.000 so với 230.000 hồi tuần trước. Báo cáo cho thấy thị trường lao động vẫn quá khỏe so với những gì Fed mong muốn. Các dữ liệu kinh tế khác bao gồm khảo sát tầm nhìn kinh doanh sản xuất của Fed Philadelphia tháng 12 và báo cáo doanh thu bán lẻ tháng 11 từ Bộ thương mại Hoa kỳ.
Chỉ số Philly Fed Index cải thiện về mức -13.8 trong tháng 12 so với -19.4 hồi tháng trước. Trong khi đó, doanh thu bán lẻ Hoa Kỳ không đạt kỳ vọng khi giảm 0.6% trong tháng 11 sau khi tăng 1.3% vào tháng 10.
Lãi suất kho bạc kỳ hạn 10 năm giảm về 3.45%, hướng về mức đáy của tháng 12.
Thị trường chứng khoán hôm nay
Trong phiên vừa qua, Dow Jones Industrial Average bốc hơi 2.2%, S&P 500 mất 2.5%. mặc dù vẫn năm trên MA50 ngày nhưng S&P 500 lại mất mốc MA21 này, về mức thấp nhất kể từ ngày 10/11.
Nasdaq giảm đến 3.2%, phá thủng MA50 ngày. Chỉ số công nghệ này đã bám trụ trên ngưỡng này kể từ 10/11 đến nay. Nhưng việc tuột mất MA50 là một tín hiệu xấu. Chỉ số đại diện Russell 2000 rơi 2.5% và cũng thủng MA50 ngày.
Khối lượng giao dịch tăng trên sàn Nasdaq và giảm trên NYSE. Điều đó đồng nghĩa Nasdaq có thêm một ngày phân phối.
Với những tổn thất này cộng với việc thủng MA50 của Nasdaq, IBD hạ bậc triển vọng thị trường từ uptrend được xác nhận xuống uptrend gặp áp lực. Điều này đổng nghĩa nhà đầu tư cắt giảm tỷ trọng vốn đang ở mức thấp của họ. Rõ ràng, phòng thủ lúc này được ưu tiên thay vì mua cổ phiếu breakout trong bối cảnh thị trường hiện tại.
Tuy nhiên, giờ cũng là lúc tìm kiếm những cổ phiếu kiên cường trong thị trường biến động. Nhưng độc giả IBD đã biết, cổ phiếu bám trụ tốt nhất trong thị trường yếu có thể trở thành cổ phiếu chiến thắng lớn trong tương lai khi thị trường quay trở lại.
Innovator IBD 50 ETF (FFTY) giảm gần 3% trong phiên vừa qua. ETF đã thủng đáy 6 năm. Trong danh sách IBD 50, công ty xây dựng nhà ở Meritage Homes (MTH) và PulteGroup (PHM) là điểm sáng hiếm hoi tiếp sau báo cáo lợi nhuận của Lennar‘s (LEN). Lennar đảo chiều mạnh mẽ, từ giảm hồi đầu phiên lên mức tăng gần 4%. Meritage thì tăng 2.6% còn Pulte cũng ghi nhận thành quả 1.6%.
Cổ phiếu Chip giảm vì nỗi lo thừa cung
Cổ phiếu chip giảm trong phiên thứ Năm khi xuất hiện cảnh bảo về tình trạng thừa cung tại thị trường ngày. Nvidia (NVDA) giảm 4.1% sau khi HSBC đưa tin về việc giảm xếp hạng đánh giá, điều chỉnh hàng tồn kho chip ngắn hạn và sự bất ổn về nhu cầu.
Western Digital (WDC) bốc hơi 10% sau khi Goldman Sachs hạ bậc triển vọng cổ phiếu, cảnh báo tình trạng thừa cung tại thị trường này. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) giảm 3.5% và đang test vùng MA50 ngày.
Netflix (NFLX) thì mất 8.6% sau khi báo cáo cho rằng, dịch vụ phát trực tiếp video có hỗ trợ quảng cáo của gã khổng lồ này không hút đủ người xem.
Tesla (TSLA) chạm đáy mới 52 tuần trước khi đảo chiều tăng nhẹ sau việc CEO Elon Musk tiết lộ bán 3.5 tỷ USD cổ phiếu Tesla trong tuần này.
3 cổ phiếu breakout bị chững lại
Cổ phiếu leader năng lượng mặt trời Array Technologies kích hoạt quy tắc bán 7% từ điểm mua 23.6 USD của nền giá cốc tay cầm, chỉ một ngày sau pha breakout đầy triển vọng.
Celsius giảm 7.7%, cũng bật quy tắc cắt lỗ 7% từ điểm mua 118.29 của nền giá cốc. Hành động yếu ở của phiên thứ Năm khiến cổ phiếu bị loại khỏi danh sách IBD Leaderboard.
Cổ phiếu dẫn dắt ngành chip Lattice Semiconductor cũng giảm mạnh phiên thứ hai liên tiếp, rơi sâu xuống dưới điểm mua 73.63 USD của nền giá cốc tay cầm. Trong phiên breakout hôm thứ Ba, khối lượng giao dịch khá thấp, cho thấy thiếu lực cầu của tổ chức.
