Thị trường chứng khoán kết thúc tuần với diễn biến tích cực, bất chấp một đợt tăng mạnh khác của lãi suất trái phiếu kỳ hạn 10 năm.
Thị trường chứng khoán quay đầu tăng điểm vào thứ Sáu khi Nasdaq tăng mạnh từ mức nhất ngày, trong khi chỉ số Dow Jones, S&P 500 và chỉ số vốn hoá nhỏ Russell 2000 đều đạt tới mức cao nhất mọi thời đại.
Về mặt kỹ thuật, Nasdaq vẫn ở trong trạng thái điều chỉnh cho đến khi có ngày bùng nổ theo đà, nhưng thị trường chứng khoán thực tế đang ở trạng thái xu hướng tăng được xác nhận do sức mạnh của các chỉ số chứng khoán chính khác vẫn đang tiếp diễn.
Sau cú tăng đẹp lên trên đường trung bình động 50 ngày vào ngày thứ Năm, chỉ số tổng hợp Nasdaq đã giảm 1,8% khi thị trường mở cửa nhưng cuối phiên mức giảm chỉ còn 0,6%. Chỉ số Nasdaq 100 đã gần chạm đến đường 50 ngày vào thứ Năm nhưng sau đó lùi lại khỏi mức cao nhất vào cuối phiên. Nasdaq 100 cũng tăng lên từ mức thấp nhất ngày của hôm thứ Sáu, nhưng vẫn giảm 0,9%, chỉ số này bị ảnh hưởng bởi màn trình diễn yếu ớt của các cổ phiếu DocuSign (DOCU), Peloton (PTON) và Zoom Video Communications (ZM), đây từng là các cổ phiếu dẫn dắt của sóng trước.
Hãy tránh cạm bẫy từ các cổ phiếu dẫn dắt lớn của năm 2020. Dù là các cổ phiếu tăng trưởng sẽ có ngày khởi sắc trở lại, nhưng nhiều cổ phiếu dẫn dắt trước đây sẽ không không còn là cổ phiếu dẫn dắt khi các cổ phiếu tăng trưởng bắt đầu tăng trở lại. Các cổ phiếu dẫn dắt mới đã xuất hiện trên nhiều phân nhóm và lĩnh vực khác nhau, bao gồm cổ phiếu tài chính, dầu khí, xây dựng, khai mỏ, thép, hóa chất, phân bón và du lịch.
Thông điệp phía sau đợt bán ra gần đây trên sàn Nasdaq là khá rõ ràng: Sẽ cần một thời gian trước khi các cổ phiếu tăng trưởng trở lại vai trò dẫn đầu. Thị trường trái phiếu đang phất cờ báo hiệu mối đe dọa lạm phát trong bối cảnh kỳ vọng sự phục hồi mạnh mẽ của nền kinh tế Hoa Kỳ. Nhưng Cục Dự trữ Liên bang đã nói rõ rằng lạm phát vẫn trong mức mà họ kỳ vọng. Fed có một cuộc họp chính sách kéo dài hai ngày vào thứ Ba và thứ Tư. Một số ý kiến cho rằng Fed có thể thực hiện một số thay đổi đối với việc mua tài sản hàng tháng của họ, nhưng điều đó có thể còn lâu mới xảy ra vì hiện chỉ số Dow vẫn đang tăng và đạt đến mức cao nhất mọi thời đại.

IBD 50 vẫn đang giữ đà tăng
Sau khi tăng vọt lên trên đường 50 ngày vào thứ Năm, chứng chỉ quỹ ETF Innovator IBD 50 (FFTY) đã có màn trình diễn mạnh mẽ, chỉ bị giảm dưới hơn 0,3%. Dropbox (DBX) là mã tăng giá mạnh nhất trong IBD 50, tăng 6% lên 27,06. Đó là một cổ phiếu tụt hậu trong lĩnh vực công nghệ, nhưng Dropbox đã tăng vọt qua mức 25,80 và kết thúc tuần vẫn ở trong vùng mua 5%.
Cổ phiếu công nghệ sinh học Ligand Pharmaceuticals (LGND) thuộc IBD 50 đang thực hiện nhịp kiểm định lần đầu đường trung bình động 10 tuần lần đầu tiên sau khi phá vỡ nền giá chiếc cốc vào tháng Giêng.
