Thị trường biến động, chưa tìm được xu hướng; Cổ phiếu năng lượng mạnh nhất

Phiên giao dịch đầu tuần vẫn giữ nhạc điệu cũ mèm khi thị trường chưa tìm được một xu hướng ổn định trong những tháng vừa qua.
Các chỉ số đã đảo chiều liên tục trước khi đóng cửa ở mức trung bình của ngày giao dịch.
Nasdaq S&P 500 lại lùi về mức đáy mới trong đợt suy giảm kéo dài gần 3 tuần nay. Mặc dù biến động, biên độ của chỉ số trong phiên vừa qua thu hẹp so với vài phiên trước đó. Cả 2 chỉ số đóng cửa giảm 0,1%.
Nasdaq vẫn yếu ớt
Nasdaq còn tệ hại hơn, khi mà chỉ số này cắt xuống dưới mức điểm của phiên bùng nổ theo đà 18/3 hơn một tuần trước. Nasdaq được xem là đang bị điều chỉnh. Màn thể hiện tệ hại của các cổ phiếu công nghệ càng củng cố nhận định này.
4 trong các nhóm ngành bị xếp hạng thấp nhất đều thuộc mảng phần mềm. Chỉ số Philadelphia Semiconductor Index giảm 10% trong tháng này.
Dow tìm kiếm hỗ trợ
Mặc dù Dow Jones Industrial Average không có được độ phủ rộng như các chỉ số khác nhưng nó cho thấy tín hiệu tích cực trong phiên vừa qua. Mức giảm 0,1% khiến chỉ số này chỉ dừng lại ở mức trung bình động 50 ngày. Đặc biệt, Dow đã gần như giữ ở trên mức này kể từ giữa tháng Ba.
Chỉ số vốn hóa nhỏ cũng đi xuống khi Russell 2000 rơi mất 0,7% sau khi chạm mức kháng cự là đường trung bình động 50 ngày.
Khối lượng giao dịch đều giảm trên sàn Nasdaq và NYSE. Điều này khá bất ngờ bởi khối lượng đã chậm lại trong phiên phứ Năm vừa qua trước kỳ nghỉ lễ ba ngày. Giao dịch trên sàn NYSE hôm thứ Hai chạm mức thấp thứ 3 kể từ đầu năm.
Trên thực tế, kể từ ngày “quadruple witching” 18/3 (ngày mà cả hợp đồng tương lai chỉ số cổ phiếu, quyền chọn chỉ số cổ phiếu, các quyền chọn cổ phiếu và hợp đồng tương lai đơn lẻ cùng đáo hạn), khối lượng giao dịch trên thị trường có xu hướng giảm. Nasdaq chỉ chứng kiến 7 phiên cao hơn mức trung bình trong khi NYSE chỉ có một phiên duy nhất.
Đây cũng là dấu hiệu cho thấy thị trường thiếu sự cam kết. Sự bất ổn là lý do tại sao triển vọng thị trường của IBD lại là xu hướng tăng gặp áp lực. Các nhà đầu tư nên cẩn trọng khi tiến hành mua cổ phiếu. Giữ một lượng tiền mặt lớn được xem là một chiến lược tốt trong giai đoạn này.
Cổ phiếu năng lượng khỏe nhất thị trường
Mảng năng lượng vẫn trong xu hướng tăng khi mà Murphy Oil (MUR) phá vỡ nền giá dốc lên trong phiên vừa qua. Công ty sản xuất và khai thác dầu khí này đang nằm trong vùng mua từ điểm mua 43,3 USD đến 45,47 USD. Đường sức mạnh tương đối cũng lập đỉnh cao mới. Đây được xem là một dấu hiệu tăng giá cổ phiếu.
Ngoài ra Energy Select Sector SPDR (XLE) cũng tăng 1,5%. Cổ phiếu phá vỡ lên trên điểm mua 80,32 USD của nền giá phẳng.
PDC Energy (PDCE) và Shell (SHEL) là những cổ phiếu dầu khí phá vỡ nền giá trong tuần vừa qua.
Giá dầu tương lai giao tháng Năm của Mỹ tăng 1,2% lên mức 108,21 USD/ thùng. Giá dầu thô tăng vọt là một yếu tố đè nặng lên phần còn lại của thị trường chứng khoán cũng giống như việc tăng lãi suất trái phiếu kho bạc. Lãi suất kho bạc kỳ hạn 10 năm tăng 3 điểm cơ bản lên mức 2,86%.
Thị trường chứng khoán có nhiều sự kiện trong tuần này khi hàng chục báo cáo quý 1 sẽ được công bố. Chủ điểm cho hôm thứ Ba sẽ là báo cáo từ IBM (IBM), Halliburton (HAL), Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), Netflix (NFLX) và Lockheed Martin (LMT).
Bên cạnh việc mong ngóng kết quả kinh doanh của các doanh nghiệp, các nhà đầu tư cũng lo ngại việc tăng chi phí, thiếu nguyên liệu và lao động có thể ảnh hưởng đến kết quả kinh doanh quý sắp tới.
