Thị trường đảo chiều sau bình luận của Fed; cổ phiếu bán dẫn, khoáng sản, vận tải dính đòn

Thị trường chứng khoán Mỹ đánh dấu một phiên đỏ lửa vào thứ Ba khi phố Wall nhận tín hiệu về việc Fed dự tính chống lạm phát quyết liệt bằng việc tăng lãi suất và giảm quy mô bảng cân đối kế toán.
Nasdaq thể hiện tệ nhất trên thị trường chứng khoán phiên vừa qua với mức giảm 2,3%. Chỉ số các cổ phiếu vốn hóa nhỏ Russell 2000 cũng phản ứng tương tự Nasdaq với mức giảm 2.4%.
Các dữ liệu sơ bộ cho thấy khối lượng giao dịch trên Nasdaq tăng, đưa chỉ số này vào ngày phân phối đầu tiên kể từ phiên bùng nổ theo đà hôm 18/3. Số cổ phiếu giảm nhiều hơn cổ phiếu tăng với tỷ lệ 3-1.
Ngày phân phối cũng xảy ra với S&P 500, chỉ số này giảm 1,3% với khối lượng tăng. Đây là ngày phân phối thứ 2 kể từ phiên bùng nổ theo đà. Trên sàn NYSE, số lượng cổ phiếu giảm giá áp đảo cổ phiếu tăng giá với tỷ lệ 7-1.
Ngay cả khi S&P 500 và Nasdaq vẫn đang trong xu hướng tăng được xác nhận với ngay phân phối nhẹ thì đây được xem là một bối cảnh thử thách cho các nhà đầu tư tăng trưởng. Khi lợi suất đạt được không như triển vọng, bạn có thể tìm kiếm các biểu đồ tăng giá tại các khu vực cổ phiếu khác. Nhưng hãy đảm bảo rằng, bạn không chạy theo mua những cổ phiếu biến động mạnh. Hãy giữ tỷ lệ mua mới ở mức nhỏ và đừng sợ cắt lỗ nếu giao dịch không như kế hoạch.
Cổ phiếu hôm nay
Chỉ số Dow Jones Industrial Average giảm 0.8%, nhưng UnitedHealth Group (UNH) lại đi ngược xu hướng với mức tăng 1,5%. Cổ phiếu này nằm trong nhóm được theo dõi với những cái tên hàng đầu như Molina Healthcare (MOH) và cổ phiếu dẫn đầu bảng Anthem (ANTM).
Đà bán tăng mạnh trên sàn Nasdaq diễn ra sau khi thống đốc cục dự trữ liên bang Hoa Kỳ Fed Lael Brainard- người được cho là thành viên ôn hòa nhất của tổ chức này- cho biết, bà dự đoán Fed sẽ đẩy nhanh tiến độ cắt giảm quy mô bảng cân đối kế toán bắt đầu vào đầu tháng Năm. Bình luận của bà Brainard được đưa ra trước khi công bố biên bản cuộc họp tháng trước của Fed vào 2 giờ chiều thứ Tư tới đây.
Trên bảng cân đối kế toán, hiện Fed đang nắm giữ khoảng 9 ngàn tỷ USD trái phiếu và các chứng khoán được đảm bảo bằng thế chấp. Việc bán bớt các tài sản nắm giữ này sẽ làm gia tăng áp lực lên lãi suất, cùng việc tăng lãi suất quỹ liên bang. Các nhà giao dịch quỹ tương lai Fed cho rằng, khả năng cao trong cuộc họp tháng 5, Fed sẽ tăng nửa điểm lãi suất và tỷ lệ tăng tương tự sẽ diễn ra trong cuộc họp tháng 6.
Bình luận của bà Brainard đã thúc đẩy đà tăng của lãi suât trái phiếu kho bạc kỳ hạn 10 năm- chỉ số đảo ngược với lãi suất kỳ hạn 2 năm trong những ngày vừa qua. Ngay sau khi thị trường chứng khoán đóng cửa, lãi suất trái phiếu kỳ hạn 2 năm giao dịch quanh mức 2,53%, tăng 10 điểm cơ sở trong khi lãi suất kỳ hạn 10 năm tăng 14 điểm lên mức 2,55%. Rõ ràng là thị trường trái phiếu đang lo ngại về sự suy thoái của nền kinh tế Mỹ. Câu hỏi đặt ra là suy thoái sẽ ở mức độ nào?
Cổ phiếu bán dẫn dính đòn
Nasdaq hiện đang giành giật điểm số ở gần mức trung bình động 10 ngày. Nếu mức hỗ trợ này không giữ được, việc chỉ số rơi xuống đường trung bình 21 ngày là có thể xảy ra. Đường trung bình 21 ngày của Nasdaq gần mức 14.000 điểm, vì thế ngưỡng hỗ trợ này cần được theo dõi.
Sau một thời gian ngắn nằm trên đường trung bình 200 ngày, cổ phiếu bán dẫn VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH) giảm 4% với khối lương lớn. Các cổ phiếu sản xuất Chip cũng là cái tên nổi bật trên đà giảm của Nasdaq 100. Marvell Technology (MRVL), Lam Research (LRCX), Applied Materials (AMAT) và KLA (KLAC) đều giảm quanh mức 6%.
Những cổ phiếu tăng giá mạnh nhất trên Nasdaq 100 bao gồm Automatic Data Processing (ADP), cổ phiếu đang hình hành nền giá cốc đẹp. Paychex (PAYX) kết phiên đi ngang. Cổ phiếu này đang nỗ lực xóa nền giá cốc sau báo báo lợi nhuận tăng trưởng hồi tuần trước.
Không chỉ các cổ phiếu công nghệ bị ảnh hưởng trong phiên vừa qua. Các cổ phiếu khoáng sản hàng đầu như Alcoa (AA) và Freeport McMoRan (FCX) cũng giảm mất gần 4%. Tuy nhiên 2 cổ phiếu nay hiện vẫn tiếp tục giữ được mức hỗ trợ ngắn hạn.
Nhóm cổ phiếu than đá hàng đầu sau khi tăng giá đầu phiên đã đảo chiều tiêu cực. Đầu phiên các cổ phiếu này giao dịch tích cực sau tin liên minh châu Âu đề xuất việc cấm nhập khẩu than đá của Nga nhưng mức tăng 7,5% của Arch Resources (ARCH) cuối cùng đã chuyển thành mức giảm 1.1%.
Nhóm vận tải từng dẫn dắt thị trường nay cũng giảm mạnh với mức 5%. Zim Integrated Shipping‘s (ZIM) giảm 8% với khối lượng lớn. Cổ phiếu này giảm hơn 13% trong một tuần khi test đường trung bình động 10 tuần.
