Thị trường chứng khoán bốc hơi mọi thành quả trước kỳ họp Fed. Amazon điêu đứng vì mức giảm khủng khiếp.
Chứng khoán Mỹ lao dốc trở lại trước thềm cuộc họp Fed diễn ra vào thứ Ba và thứ Tư tuần tới. Kết quả kinh doanh yếu ớt của các doanh nghiệp và sự lao dốc của cổ phiếu Amazon.com (AMZN) (giảm 14%) đã làm gia tăng tâm lý tiêu cực. Trong khi đó, sự hồi phục mạnh mẽ của cổ phiếu Trung Quốc cũng không thể xoa dịu được gì nhiều sự mất mát của Nasdaq.
Apple (AAPL) vẫn nỗ lực phục hồi sau báo cáo thu nhập nhưng cuối cùng lại vuột mất đường hỗ trợ MA50. Mức tăng đầu phiên 1,6% nhạt dần rồi chuyển thành mức giảm 4%. Apple thông báo kết quả kinh doanh khả quan nhưng doanh thu dự tính cho quý hiện tại của doanh nghiệp này chỉ đạt 8 tỷ USD do tình trạng phong tỏa tại Trung Quốc và nguồn cung hạn chế.
Thị trường chao đảo
Chỉ số Nasdaq bốc hơi 4,2% và lao xuống dưới cả mức thấp nhất phiên giảm điểm hôm thứ Tư. Chỉ số này chứng kiến tuần giảm điểm thứ tư liên tiếp và bay mất 13,2% chỉ trong vòng 1 tháng- mức giảm tồi tệ nhất kể từ tháng 10/2008. Số lượng cổ phiếu giảm cao hơn cổ phiếu tăng với tỷ lệ 3-1.
Cổ phiếu Trung Quốc Pinduoduo (PDD), JD.com (JD) và NetEase (NTES) dẫn đầu Nasdaq 100 với hi vọng Trung Quốc sẵn sàng nới lỏng các quy định chống dịch trong bối cảnh suy thoái kinh tế. Cả ba cổ piếu trên đang nỗ lực để thoát khỏi xu thế downtrend.
Chỉ số Dow Jones Industrial Average giảm 2.8% với áp lực đến từ việc bán tháo cổ phiếu Intel (INTC) khi cổ phiếu này giảm gần 7%. Salesforce (CRM) và Walgreens (WBA) đều giảm loanh quanh mức 5%.
Thị trường chứng khoán gặp áp lực với những dữ liệu về lạm phát trước giờ mở cửa. Chỉ số chi tiêu tiêu dùng cá nhân- một trong những chỉ báo lạm phát được Fed ưa chuộng- đã tăng 5,2% trong tháng Ba, thấp hơn một chút so với mức đồng thuận 5,3 của Econoday. Bên cạnh đó, giá cả tăng 6.6%, cũng chỉ dưới mức đồng thuận 6.8% của tổ chức dự báo này.
Cuộc họp kéo dài 2 ngày của Fed sẽ kết thúc hôm thứ Tư tuần tới. Fed được dự báo sẽ tăng 50 điểm cơ sở lãi suất lên khoảng mức 0,75 đến 1%. Cũng rất có thể điều này sẽ tiếp tục lặp lại trong phiên họp tháng 6.
S&P 500 cũng rụng rời vì bán tháo
S&P 500 cũng rơi xuống dưới mức đáy của phiên thứ Tư khi giảm 3,6%. Số cổ phiếu giảm giá áp đảo số cổ phiếu tăng giá với tỷ lệ 5-1. Trong số 11 nhóm ngành S&P 500 thì Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) giảm 5.1% và Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) cũng đánh mất 4.8%.
Các quỹ đầu tư bất động sản cứ ngỡ có thể tạo ra một số cổ phiếu dẫn dắt thị trường nhưng một số cái tên trong danh sách MarketSmith Growth 250 đã gặp phải áp lực bán rất lớn. EastGroup Properties (EGP), Extra Space Storage (EXR) và National Storage Affiliates (NSA) kết phiên với mức giảm ít nhất 8%.
Các nhà sản xuất thép tiếp tục gặp áp lực khi mức giảm của nhóm này lên đến hơn 4%. Cổ phiếu Cleveland-Cliffs (CLF) giảm tới 7 % và đóng cửa ở dưới mức trung bình động 50 ngày.
Trong nhóm ngành phân bón, Intrepid Potash (IPI) giảm điểm phiên thứ 9 liên tiếp và đóng cửa dưới mức MA50 ngày. Sự yếu ớt xảy ra trước một loạt các báo kinh doanh không mấy khả quan của các cổ phiếu phân bón như CF Industries (CF), Mosaic (MOS) và Nutrien (NTR). Cả 3 cổ phiếu này đang kiểm tra lại vùng MA50.
